FARO HD Tools & Features:
Real-Time 3D animation:
Advanced technology allows FARO users to generate powerful, real-time, three-dimensional animations in minutes. Users have the ability to work in 3D while generating their animations and unlike other applications, ARAS 360 allows users to create 3D spline paths as well as linear and arc paths. Our animation engine allows unlimited synchronization points so you can create mutliple-impact animations in a fraction of the time.
Total station download and point cloud import:
FARO HD supports total station direct downloads as well as point cloud imports. Simply connect to the total station, complete the download and draw your scene in minutes. Some of our supported formats include raw, csv, txt, nik, rw5, dxf and more.
Aerial Imagery and terrain modeling:
Integrate measurement points and satellite imagery, saving hours of tedious work. The FARO Total Terrain system allows Google Earth, and other satellite imagery, to be linked to survey points for true 3D terrain modelling. An included image editor also allows users to quickly remove unwanted objects, such as cars and shadows, from imported aerial images.
Environmental Effects:
FARO HD offers realistic environmental effects. Users can easily turn on fog, rain, and snow complete with density and wind settings or quickly create night-time scenes using headlights and streetlights.
Animated Human Models:
Included in the program are four animated human models that can walk, jog, run, or crawl.
Automated Articulation:
FARO HD introduces the much-anticipated automated articulation system. This new functionality gives users the ability to articulate any 3D models in the program and includes simulated off-tracking (an advanced model is also available).
Structure Genius:
FARO HD"s Structure Genius allows users to construct multi-level buildings in minutes with just a few clicks. Textures and images are easily applied to walls for a realistic look and feel. Windows, doors, and staircases can be placed and resized quickly and easily. Full building storeys can be duplicated above and below with a single click. Whether you need to create the detailed interior of a single room or the exterior of an entire city block, Structure Genius makes scene creation a snap.
Linear momentum analysis:
FARO HD offers real-time, 3D linear momentum analysis. Momentum Genius allows for multiple friction zones and calculates friction based on vehicle rotation and braking. The system allows for curvi-linear or spline departure trajectories and reports results, including solution steps. FARO HD"s improved linear momentum analysis now includes tire path features and automatically generates 3D animations of your momentum results.
Animation effects;
FARO HD includes a multitude of new animation effects that include: spinning tires, turning wheels, realistic shadows, smoke, fire, and explosions.
